The team’s most recent triumph came at the 2025 British Invention Exhibition, where they presented a project titled:
“Development of a Novel Saffron Tablet Formulation and Evaluation of Its Pharmacological and Clinical Effects in the Treatment of Depression in Animal and Human Models.”
This groundbreaking research introduced a new scientific approach to utilizing bioactive compounds of saffron as an effective, natural, and side-effect-free solution for depression.
The innovation impressed the international jury and earned Iran the Gold Medal at the UK competition.
